Homotopy classification of elliptic Douglis-Nirenberg systems. I (Q1110717)

The elliptic Douglis-Nirenberg systems of differential equations on the plane with the number of equations larger than two are considered. Homotopic classification of such systems is replaced by classification of corresponding matrix pencils. In this paper - part of a general paper - ellipticity by Petrovski matrix pencils are considered.
