For a locally compact non-compact abelian group G let \(A_ p(G)\) be the space \(\{f\in L^ 1(G):\) \(\hat f\in L^ p(\hat G)\}\) normed by \(\| f\|_{A_ p}=\| f\|_ 1+\| \hat f\|_ p\). The author extends a theorem of Figà-Talamanca and Gaudry stating that every multiplier \(T\in M(A_ p(G),A_ p(G))\) is of the form \(Tf=\mu *f\) with \(\mu\in M(G)\). Namely he proves that \(M(A_ p(G),L^ 1(G))=M(G)\). Some results refer to the space \(L^ 1(G)\cap C_ 0(G)\) equipped with the norm \(\| f\|_ 1+\| f\|_{\infty}\). The author proves that \(M(A_ p(G),L^ 1(G)\cap C_ 0(G))\) and \(M(L^ 1(G),L^ 1(G)\cap C_ 0(G))\) are identical. For discrete groups he obtains the equivalence of the norms in \(M(A_ p(G),L^ 1(G))\) and \(A_ p(G)\) \((=L^ 1(G)=M(G)\) in this case). There are some typographical mistakes and some inexactitudes. Especially, it is not true that a sequence of continuous functions converging a.e. to 0 must converge at each point. However this argument being inessential, it may be simply removed from the proof of the author's lemma.
