    The present paper deals with univalent functions in the unit disk D, which are solutions of a (regular singular) differential equation \[ (1)\quad z^ 2w''+(\beta_ 0z^ 2+\beta_ 1z)w'+(\gamma_ 0z^ 2+\gamma_ 1z+\gamma_ 2)w=0. \] It is shown, that if \(\beta_ 1\) is not integer and \(\gamma_ 2=0\), \(\gamma_ 1\neq 0\) or \(\beta_ 1+\gamma_ 1=0\), then there exists entire solutions of (1). If one defines for these solutions f \[ (2)\quad K(f)=\sup f^{(n)}(0)/f^{(n- 1)}(0),\quad k(f)=\inf f^{(n)}(0)/f^{(n-1)}(0), \] then the main results are: i) If \(\gamma_ 2=0\), \(\gamma_ 1\neq 0\), \(\beta_ 1>0\) and if \[ k(f)>0,\quad | \beta_ 0| +(| \gamma_ 0| /k(f))\leq \log 2,\quad | \gamma_ 1| \leq \beta_ 2 \log 2, \] or if K(f)\(\leq \log 2\), then the normalized function \((f-a_ 0)/a_ 1\) is in a class E and ``absolute starlike'' in D (for the definitions comp. p. 82, 83 of the paper). ii) If \(\beta_ 1+\gamma_ 2=0\), \(\beta_ 1>0\) and if \[ k(f)>0,\quad | \beta_ 0| +(| \gamma_ 0| /k(f))\leq \log 2,\quad | \gamma_ 1| \leq (\beta_ 1 \log 2)/2, \] or if K(f)\(\leq \log 2\), then directly \(f\in E\) and ``absolute starlike''. In both cases the derivatives \(f^{(k)}\) are univalent in D. A lot of examples illustrate this result and finally there are some results on extreme points of the family E.
