Let \(\lambda\) : \({\mathfrak E}\to {\mathfrak E}'\) be a non-injective homomorphism between two projective planes \({\mathfrak E}\), \({\mathfrak E}'\). Then \(\lambda\) induces a uniform structure on the point as well as on the line set of \({\mathfrak E}\). With the induced topologies, \({\mathfrak E}\) is a Lenz- topological plane: For each point P the map \(X\mapsto P\vee X\), mapping the point X onto the line connecting it with P, is continuous, and dually. Each topological projective plane is a Lenz-topological plane, but not conversely [\textit{W. Heise} and \textit{K. Sörensen}, Arch. Math. 21, 218-220 (1970; Zbl 0192.575)]. However, if \({\mathfrak E}\) is a Moufang plane, then it is even a topological plane ({\S} 3, Satz 2). - If \({\mathfrak E}\) is ordered, and \(\lambda\) an o-epimorphism, then the \(\lambda\)- topology coincides with the order topoly ({\S} 4, Satz 2).
