Let \({\mathcal S}\) denote the set of all Riemann surfaces with boundary. If \(\bar S\in {\mathcal S}\) let \(S=Interior(\overline{S})\) and let A(S) denote the set of all holomorphic functions on S which have continuous extensions to \(\overline{S}\). If \(\overline{S_ 1}\) and \(\overline{S_ 2}\) are homeomorphic the author defines a Banach-Mazur type distance by considering invertible linear operators from \(A(S_ 1)\) to \(A(S_ 2)\) which fix the constant mappings. This, in turn, is used to investigate slight deformations of A(S) by linear isomorphisms and to relate these deformations of A(S) with deformations of S in the reduced Teichmüller space of S.
