The paper studies certain Dirichlet series attached to elliptic modular forms. In particular, it is shown that special values of these Dirichlet series occur as Fourier coefficients of Jacobi forms. More specifically, let \(k\geq 4\) be an even integer, j an integer. Let f be a cusp form of weight \(k+2j\) with respect to SL(2,\({\mathbb{Z}})\) and a(n,f) its n-th Fourier coefficient. For integers \(m\geq 1\), \(n\geq 1\) and r satisfying \(4mn-r^ 2>0\), put \[ \tilde L_{k,j}(s,f;m,r,n)=\sum_{t\in {\mathbb{Z}}}\frac{a(mt^ 2-rt+n,f)}{(mt^ 2-rt+n)^ s}C_{2j}^{k- 1}(\frac{-r+2mt}{2\sqrt{m(mt^ 2-rt+n)}}). \] Here, \(C_{2j}^{k- 1}(X)\) is the Gegenbauer polynomial defined by \[ C_{2j}^{k- 1}(X)=\sum^{j}_{m=0}\frac{(-1)^ m(k+2j-m-2)!}{m!(2j-2m)!(k- 1)!}(2X)^{2j-2m}. \] Let H be the upper half plane. Define the function \(\{f\}^ j_{k,m}(\tau,z)\) on \(H\times {\mathbb{C}}\) by \[ \{f\}^ j_{k,m}(\tau,z)=\sum_{n,r\in {\mathbb{Z}},4mn-r^ 2>0}(4mn-r^ 2)^{k- (3/2)}\quad \tilde L_{k,j}(k+j-1,f;m,r,n)\quad \exp (2\pi i(n\tau +rz)). \] Then the author proves \(\{f\}^ j_{k,m}\) is a Jacobi cusp form of weight k and index m.
