The author considers a general initial boundary value problem for a hyperbolic-parabolic coupled system \(\partial_ tu=Pu+Av+F_ 1\), \(\partial_ tv=Bu+Qv+F_ 2\), and gives a normal form of boundary conditions, which is sufficient and necessary for the boundary value problem and the conjugate boundary value problem to be well-posed. Furthermore, the author proves the existence of differentiable solution in Sobolev spaces of high order.
