The Boltzmann-Lorentz model for particles with spin. II: The projection- operator technique (Q1116800)

[For part I see the review above (Zbl 0666.76099).] The projection-operator technique is applied to the linearized equation of the Boltzmann-Lorentz model for particles with spin in order to derive the equations of the hydrodynamics and the generalized hydrodynamics. The validity of the hydrodynamical description is studied for different time and space scales. The results are compared to the exact solution and to the Chapman-Enskog hydrodynamic equations.
