    We consider boundary eigenvalue problems of the form \((1)\quad \ell (y,\lambda)=\sum^{n}_{k=0}\lambda^ k\ell_ k(y)=0,\quad x\in [0,1],\) \((2)\quad U_{\nu}(y,\lambda)=\sum^{n- 1}_{k=0}\sum^{h}_{j=0}\alpha_{\nu kj}(\lambda)y^{(k)}(a_ j)=0,\) \(1\leq \nu \leq n\), where \(\ell_ k(y)=\sum^{n-k}_{j=0}p_{n- k,j}(x)y^{(j)},\) \(p_{kk}=const.\), \(0\leq k\leq n\), \(p_{nn}=1\), \(p_{00}\neq 0\), \(0=a_ 0<a_ 1<...<a_ h=1\), and where \(\alpha_{\nu kj}\), \(0\leq k\), \(\nu\)-1\(\leq n-1\), \(0\leq j\leq h\), are polynomials. The characteristic equation \(\sum^{n}_{k=0}p_{kk}\omega^ k=0\) of (1) is allowed to have one or several multiple roots. Linearizing (1), (2) with respect to \(\lambda\) we prove that the system of derived chains of eigen- and associated functions of normal problems (1), (2) is complete and minimal in adequate spaces of functions.
