    This paper develops an approximation theory for the computation of optimal discrete-time linear-quadratic Gaussian compensators (combined feedback control law and state estimator) for distributed parameter systems with boundary input or control and unbounded output or measurement. This theory applies to the class of boundary control problems which can be formulated in a state space in which both the discrete-time input and output operators are continuous.
