A short proof of a theorem of Ruelle (Q1118057)

Using a general notion of conformal measure [\textit{M. Denker} and \textit{M. Urbański}: On the existence of conformal measures, to appear in Trans. Am. Math. Soc.] it is proved that for expanding rational maps T the Hausdorff dimension of its Julia set equals the zero of the corresponding pressure function \(t\to P(-t \log | T'|)\) [\textit{D. Ruelle}, Ergodic Theory Dyn. Syst. 2, 99-107 (1982; Zbl 0506.58024)].
