A planar space \({\mathcal S}\) is a linear space with a set of distinguished subspaces, the planes, such that any 3 non-collinear points are in unique plane. If the number v of points is finite, and if any two distinct planes intersect in a line, then each planar pencil contains \(n+1\) lines. The author proves that \({\mathcal S}\) can be embedded into a 3-dimensional projective plane if \(v\geq g=n^ 3-3n+5n+8\) and \(n\geq 13\), or if \(v\geq g+4(n+1).\)
