Let the linear system of algebraic equations (1) \(Ax=b\) be given, where A is a Hermitian matrix. Assume the general splitting \(A=D-E-E^ H,\) where D is Hermitian and \(E=1/2(D-A+S)\) with \(S^ H=-S\). The author studies the convergence conditions of the accelerated overrelaxation method for the solution of (1) in the case when D is Hermitian and negative definite. The case where D is Hermitian and positive definite was covered in an earlier paper of the author.
