For the numerical solution of stiff differential equations by Runge-Kutta methods the well-known concepts of B-convergence and of algebraic stability play an important role. This article investigates interrelations between these two properties when the one-sided Lipschitz constant of the problem is strictly negative. Under mild assumptions on the method it is shown that both concepts are equivalent.
