Singular asymptotics of integrals and the near-field radiated from nonuniformly moving dislocations (Q1119045)

The stress field radiated from moving dislocations is given by the method of asymptotic series expansions of integrals. In the first place, the author proves the existence theorem of an asymptotic expansion for a class of one-dimensional integrals with a certain singular asymptotic behaviour. In the next part, the theorem is applied to the estimation of the near field of a nonuniformly moving screw dislocations. The author asserts that the nearfield of stress radiated from a non-uniformly moving edge dislocation may be approximately analized by the method developed in this paper.
