The work continues investigation of possibilities of a complete geometrization of the supersymmetric Einstein-Yang-Mills fields which serve as a background for a heterotic superstring. It is shown that in both versions (IA and IB) of the \(N=1\), \(d=10\) supergravity theory the non-geometric part (the Wess-Zumino term) of the heterotic string action can be expressed in terms of the torsion tensor for the background space and the dilaton field; furthermore the dilaton field can also be given a geometrical meaning by means of a conformal transformation. In the approach of the paper the torsion of the bosonic part of the 10- dimensional superspace does not vanish what implies that after the dimensional reduction one gets a 4-dimensional spacetime with a torsion.
