Based on recent results of \textit{E. Baumann} [BIT 28, 84-87 (1988; Zbl 0641.65043)] concerning optimal centered forms, a new version of the Krawczyk operator is proposed which is shown to satisfy some optimality condition. Making use of this version enables to construct an optimal component-wise Krawczyk-Moore-type iteration method, its advantage being demonstrated on numerical examples.
