The author denotes by \(P^*_ p(\alpha,\beta)\) \((0\leq \alpha <p\), \(0<\beta \leq 1)\) the class consisting of functions of the form \(f(z)=z^ p-\sum^{\infty}_{n=1}| a_{p+n}| z^{p+n}\) that are analytic and p-valent in \(| z| <1\) and satisfy there the inequality \(| ((f'(z)/z^{p-1})-p)/((f'(z)/z^{p-1})+p- 2\alpha)| <\beta\). Necessary and sufficient coefficient conditions are found for functions in \(P^*_ p(\alpha,\beta)\), which lead to distortion theorems, extreme points, and the radius of convexity for the family.
