Uniformitäten angeordneter projektiver Ebenen. (On uniform structures of ordered projective planes) (Q1121526)

By a recent paper of the second author [Geom. Dedicata 22, 21-37 (1987; Zbl 0609.51016)], the order preserving epimorphisms of any ordered projective plane \(\Pi\) can be described in terms of certain uniform structures on the point and on the line set of \(\Pi\). Since, up to now, the problem of the existence of order preserving epimorphisms of projective planes is settled only in some special cases (e.g. for translation planes, see the second author, Abh. Math. Sem. Univ. Hamburg, to appear), it seems worthwhile, to attack it from this new point of view. As a first step in this direction, the authors introduce a construction to extend a uniform structure \(\Sigma\) (K) of a planar ternary ring K to uniform structures \(\Sigma\), T of the point and line set of the projective plane \(\Pi\) coordinatized by K. They show, that \(\Sigma\) and T induce the order topology on \(\Pi\), provided \(\Sigma\) (K) induces the order topology on K, and that in the desarguesian case, (\(\Pi\),\(\Sigma\),T) is a uniform projective plane. An appendix by the second author contains some corrections of her paper mentioned first.
