The authors obtain the degree of approximation in the \(L_ p\) norm \((p>0)\) of a given continuous function by various interpolatory processes on Chebyshev nodes. Thus for the Hermite-Fejer interpolant \(H_ n(f,x)\) of degree 2n-1 on Chebyshev nodes (of the first kind), they show that \[ (\int^{1}_{-1}| H_ n(f,x)-f(x)|^ p(1-x^ 2)^{- 1/2}dx))^{1/p}\leq cw(f,\frac{1}{n}), \] with a similar result for the quasi-Hermite interpolant \(Q_ n(f,x)\) of degree \(2n+1\). Similar results are proved for interpolation on zeros of Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind. For earlier references on the literature one may refer to the paper of \textit{P. Nevai} and \textit{P. Vértesi} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 105, 26-58 (1985; Zbl 0567.41002)].
