An algorithm for the computation of the derivatives of a quotient (Q1122295)

Let u and v be two functions in \(C^{(n)}[a,b]\) and let c be a point of [a,b] such that v(c)\(\neq 0\). The author gives an algorithm for computing the derivatives \((u/v)^{(k)}(c)\), \(k=1,2,...,n\). Numerical examples are given and it is also shown that the algorithm can be used in the computation of Padé-type approximants.
