The paper deals with three topics as indicated in its title. To describe a sample result relating to one of these topics, we define a system \(\Phi =\{f_ n\}^{\infty}_{n=-\infty}\subseteq L^ p[-\pi,\pi]\), \(1\leq p<\infty\), to be a basis for Abel summation (or an A-basis) of \(L^ p[- \pi,\pi]\) if for every \(f\in L^ p[-\pi,\pi]\) there is a unique series \(\sum^{\infty}_{n=-\infty}a_ n(f)f_ n\) which is Abel summable to f, i.e. \(\lim_{r\to 1-}\| f-\sum^{\infty}_{n=-\infty}r^{| n|}a_ n(f)f_ n\|_ p=0.\) One of the results of the paper is the following: Let \(\Omega\) be a finite set of N consecutive integers and \(\Omega^ c={\mathbb{Z}}\setminus \Omega\). Let M(x) be a \(2\pi\)-periodic complex valued function defined for real x. Then \(\{M(x)e^{inx}\}_{n\in \Omega^ c}\) is an A-basis in \(L^ p[- \pi,\pi]\) if and only if there exists a subset \(X=\{x_ j\}^ s_{j=1}\) of the interval [-\(\pi\),\(\pi)\) and a system of natural numbers \(\Lambda =\{\alpha_ j\}^ s_{j=1}\) such that \(\sum^{s}_{j=1}\alpha_ j=N\) and \(| M| =| \omega | W^{1/p}\) where \(\omega (x)=\prod_{1\leq j\leq s}\sin^{\alpha_ j}(x- x_ j)/2\) and \(W\geq 0\) is a weight function satisfying the condition: \[ \frac{1}{| I|}\int_{I}Wdt[\frac{1}{| I|}\int_{I}W^{-1/(p-1)}dt]^{p-1}\leq B_ p \] for every inteval I C(-\(\infty,\infty)\) and some \(B_ p>0\). The results of the paper are too technical to be summarized completely.
