Sufficient conditions are given for the convergence of an interval version of the accelerated overrelaxation (AOR) method of \textit{A. Hadjidimos} [Math. Comput. 32, 149-157 (1978; Zbl 0382.65015)]. However, the results are of no practical interest since the convergence speed is always inferior to that of the interval Gauss-Seidel iteration (by arguments as on pp. 322-323 in the reviewer's paper in Linear Algebra Appl. 58, 273-325 (1984; Zbl 0558.65019)).
