    Linear control systems with uncertainty in the plant dynamics and plant disturbances represented by additive white noise are considered. Decentralized static output feedback controllers are to be determined such that the closed loop system is asymptotically stable for all plant parameter variations and in addition the worst case value of a quadratic criterion is minimized. Sufficient conditions for robust stability are derived by introducing a modified Lyapunov equation. The worst case performance can be bounded in terms of the solution of this modified Lyapunov equation. A pair of coupled modified Riccati equations are derived as design equations for static output controllers. The design steps are listed in form of an algorithm.
