On 2-groups of small rank admitting an automorphism of prime order \(p>3\) (Q1123971)

The maximal number m(G) of independent generators of an abelian subgroup of a primary group G is called the rank of G. The author classifies all finite 2-groups of rank at most 3 admitting an automorphism of prime order \(p>3\). The corresponding classification for \(p=3\) is given by the author [in J. Algebra 125, No.1, 27-35 (1989; see the following review Zbl 0678.20009)].
