A simple proof of the product theorem for EP matrices (Q1124905)

The purpose of this note is to give a simple proof of a theorem obtained by \textit{R. E. Hartwig} and \textit{I. J. Katz} [ibid. 252, 339-345 (1997; Zbl 0868.15015); Theorem 1] on the product of EP matrices that solved a problem open for over 25 years. All matrices are complex and \(n\times n\). A matrix is \(EP\) if \(A^+A=AA^+\), where \(A^+\) is the More-Penrose inverse of \(A\).
