The linear algebra of the generalized Pascal functional matrix (Q1124932)

The authors generalize Pascal's matrix by defining the polynomials ``factorial binomial'' in Section 2. Then using this generalization, they introduce a two-variable Pascal's matrix and state its related theorems and prove them in Section 3. They introduce Pascal's functional matrix associated with a sequence \(\underline a=\{a_n\}_{n\geq 0}\) in Section 4, and obtain several important combinatorial identities in Section 5.
