The critical exponent of a reaction diffusion equation on some Lie groups (Q1127652)

The author considers a semilinear parabolic equation relative to a set of Hörmander vector fields and to a nonlinear term \(u^p\) with suitable assumptions on the distance defined by the vector fields, on the volume of the balls and on estimates on fundamental solutions (roughly speaking the assumptions rely the vector fields to a polynomial Lie group). He proves the existence of a positive global (in time) solution for small positive data) and \(p\) big enough. For small \(p\) and in the case of Heisenberg vector fields a blow-up result is also proved.
