Let \(I(0,n)\) be the moduli space of instanton bundles over \(\mathbb{P}^3\) with Chern classes \(c_1=0\) and \(c_2=n\), and let \(M_Q(0,2n)\) be the moduli space of vector bundles over a quadric \(Q\) in \(\mathbb{P}^3\) with \(c_1=0\) and \(c_2=2n\). It was conjectured that these two moduli spaces have both dimension \(8n-3\). There is a natural morphism (considered by Tjurin) \(\text{res}_Q:I(0,n)\to M_Q(0,2n)\) given by restriction. Tjurin has conjectured that this morphism is generically finite. This conjecture was proved by Le Potier for \(n=1\) [see \textit{J. Le Potier}, in: Mathématique et physique, Sémin. Éc. Norm. Supér., Paris 1979-1982, Prog. Math. 37, 65-137 (1983; Zbl 0532.14003)]. In the paper under review the case \(n=2\) is considered.
