For a certain class of translation invariant interaction potentials the authors study Gibbs random fields on \({\mathbb Z}^\nu\) with values in a Polish space. The bounds for differences of finite-volume correlation functions and those for differences of limiting and pre-limiting correlation functions in large volumes are obtained. It permits to prove the uniqueness of the Gibbs field \(P_{T}^{\bar x}\) (for \(T \subset {\mathbb Z}^\nu\) and specified boundary condition \(\bar x\)) and to establish its uniformly strong mixing.
