A new approximation approach to \(H^\infty\) control problems is presented and the related error bound is provided. The method is applied to linear time-invariant, distributed parameter systems. The extension of solution techniques for finite-dimensional problems to infinite-dimensional ones can provide suboptimal solution to \(H^\infty\) problems for distributed parameter systems.
