Approach to equilibrium in classical statistical mechanics is a consequence of the mixing properties of the physical systems which manifest in the clustering behaviour of correlation functions. The strongest version of clustering occurs in those systems called \(K\)- systems. It is proved in this paper that also for quantum systems the entropic \(K\)-systems of type \(II_ 1\) guarantee strong asymptotic abelianness and therefore also clustering.
