On a question of blow-up for semilinear parabolic systems (Q1174359)

The author discusses the question of whether a linear perturbation of the Lipschitz vector field, in a parabolic system, can cause blow-up in finite time. An example is given of blow-up from a linear perturbation. Another example, with memory term, is given for which the addition of diffusion and noflux boundary conditions causes blow-up in finite time.
