The regularity at the boundary for \(\bar\partial_ b\) is related to the extendability of \(CR\)-functions defined on an open subset \(\Omega\) of a generic submanifold \(S\) of \(X^ \mathbb{R}\), \(X^ \mathbb{R}\) being the real submanifold of a complex manifold \(X\). More exactly, the extendability is from \(\Omega\) to \(\Omega\)-tuboids of \(X\) (a notion introduced by the authors: --- ``wedge type'' domains of base \(\Omega\)). In fact, \(CR\)- functions on \(\Omega\) are hyperfunction solutions of the system \(\bar\partial_ b\) (to pay attention to the sheaf of Sato's hyperfunctions \({\mathcal B}_ S)\) and the microfunctions at the boundary are as in \textit{P. Schapira} [Semin., Equations Deriv. Partielles 1985- 1986, Expose No. 13, 12 p. (1986; Zbl 0638.58027)]. Effective criteria of regularity and results on extension are obtained in the particular cases of hypersurfaces (special \(\bar\partial_ b\)).
