Geometric and algebraic aspects of four minor forms of the Pappus proposition (Q1176771)

Four minor forms of the Pappus proposition are discussed and their relation to other configurational theorems are studied. Some algebraic consequences for the ternary ring of the plane are derived, in particular conditions under which the operations * and + introduced by the author and \textit{M. S. Abdul-Elah} [in Arch. Math. 25, 536-539 (1974; Zbl 0293.50016)] are equivalent.
