This paper studies (non rigorously) the piecewise linear Hénon map \[ (x,y)\to (1-\alpha| x|+by,x)\hbox{ with } a=8/3, b=9/25. \] This map has two fixed saddles \(A\) and \(B\) in the first and the third quadrants respectively. This map has a strange attractor and was investigated by R. Lozi and by M. Misiurewicz. The authors use the method of ``dual line mapping'' to study the basin of attraction and stable manifolds. The authors make several claims regarding the stable manifolds (and their closures) of points \(A\) and \(B\). It is worth while to prove their claims using their general approach and precise mathematical techniques (e.g. symbolic dynamics).
