The author continues the Mackey analysis for a class of infinite- dimensional groups of motion. The groups he is dealing with are of the form \({\mathcal K}{\tilde\times}{\mathcal H}\), a semidirect product of \({\mathcal K}\), a finite product of the rotation groups of separable Hilbert spaces, and \(\mathcal H\), a separable representation of \(\mathcal K\). A brief review of the theory of representations of the groups \(\mathcal K\) is given, together with a study of the representations of an inductive limit subgroup \({\mathcal K}(\infty){\tilde\times} {\mathcal H}(\infty)\). The latter representations are realized in terms of measures and cocycles of \({\mathcal H}(\infty)\hat{}\) where \({\mathcal H}(\infty)\hat{}\) is the character group of \({\mathcal H}(\infty)\). For the groups, their invariant measure classes are represented by invariant probability measures, and these classes are determined for the Cartan motion groups. The existence of ``induced'' cocycle cohomology is established in this ergodic setting.
