Nonuniform completions and hypocontinuity of multiplication in locally convex algebras (Q1177451)

Motivated by the study of convolution algebras of distributions the author investigates in detail a few classes of bornological, locally convex algebras. First the Banach-Steinhaus phenomenon is formulated and extended in the framework of bornological spaces. As a consequence the author obtains non-trivial (hypo)continuity results for the multiplication operation in certain completions of bornological, locally convex algebras.
