It is known that the homotopy type of a finite simplicial complex \(X\) is determined by its Sullivan algebra \(PA(X)\), i.e. the algebra of continuous functions on \(X\) which are polynomial on each simplex. Using methods from algebraic geometry, the author proves here that the Sullivan algebra \(PA(X)\) determines even the simplicial structure of \(X\).
