Let \(F^ n_{q+\alpha}(C,M)\) be the space of real-valued functions \(f\) defined on the hypercube \(I^ n:=\{x\in\mathbb{R}^ n: 0\leq x_ j\leq 1\), \(j=1,\dots,n\}\), \(f\in C^ q\), \(q\in\mathbb{N}:=\{1,2,\dots\}\), which satisfy the Hölder condition for the constant \(C>0\) and the exponent \(\alpha\in(0,1]\). If \(x=(x_ 1,\dots,x_ n)\) then \(\| x\|:=\max_{1\leq j\leq n}| x_ n|\) and also, if \(\lambda=(\lambda_ 1,\dots,\lambda_ n)\), \(\lambda_ j=0,1,\dots,j=1,\dots,n\) then \(|\lambda|:=\sum^ n_{j=1}\lambda)j\leq q\) and \(\left|{\partial^{|\lambda|} \over \partial x_ 1^{\lambda_ n}\cdots\partial x_ n^{\lambda_ n}}f(0)\right|\leq M\). The main result is the following theorem. Theorem 1. Denote \(A:=F^ n_{q+\alpha}(C,M)\) and \(F:=C^{q'}(I_ n)\), \(1\leq q'\leq q\). There exist constants \(\varepsilon_ 0=\varepsilon_ 0(A,F)>0\), \(c_ 1=c_ 1(A,F)>0\), \(c_ 2=c_ 2(A,F)>0\), such that, for \(0<\varepsilon\leq\varepsilon_ 0\), the following inequalities are true: \[ c_ 1\varepsilon^{-n(\ell-q')^{- 1}}\leq H_ \varepsilon(A,F)\leq c_ 2\varepsilon^{-n(\ell-q')^{- 1}}, \] where \(\ell:=q+\varepsilon\) and \(H_ \varepsilon(A,F)\) is the \(\varepsilon\)-entropy of a set of A in the metric space F.
