Let \(E\) and \(F\) be Frechet spaces with a fixed increasing sequence of continuous seminorms \(\{\| \cdot \|_ n\}\) and \(\{| \cdot |_ n\}\) respectively. A linear map \(L:E\to F\) s called tame if there exist \(b \geq 0\) and constants \(C_ n>0\) such that for all \(n \geq 0\) and all \(x\in E\) \(| Lx |_ n \leq C_ n \| x \|_{n+b}\). A short exact sequence of Frechet Spaces \[ 0\to E@>i>> F@>q>> G \to 0 \] is called tamely exact if the canonical maps \(i:E \to iE\) and \(\overline q:F/iE \to G\) are tame isomorphisms, i.e. both \(i\) and \(\overline q\) are bijective and \(i,i^{-1},\overline q,\overline q^{- 1}\) are tame. In this paper it is proved that property \((\Omega)\) of \textit{D. Vogt} [Math. Z. 155, 109-117 (1977; Zbl 0337.46015)] implies the tame splitting condition \((\Omega DZ)\) for any tamely nuclear Frechet space (the splitting theorem provides the existence of a tame linear right inverse of a tame linear map under the assumption that the kernel of the given map has property \((\Omega DZ))\). As an application, property \((\Omega DZ)\) for the kernels of any hypoelliptic system of linear partial differential operators with constant coefficients on \(\mathbb{R}^ \mathbb{N}\) or on a bounded convex region in \(\mathbb{R}^ \mathbb{N}\) are verified.
