A unified way to construct relative invariants of some kinds of prehomogeneous vector space is given and some derived problems are discussed. Let \(\mathfrak g\) be a semisimple Lie algebra over the complex number field \(\mathbb{C}\), \({\mathfrak g}=\bigoplus_{i\in\mathbb{Z}}{\mathfrak g}(i)\) its \(\mathbb{Z}\)-gradation. Let \(h\) be the element of \(\mathfrak g\) such that \({\mathfrak g}(i)=\{z\in{\mathfrak g}\mid [h,z]=iz\}\). Let \(G\) be the simply connected group such that \(Lie(G)={\mathfrak g}\) and \(G(0)={\mathfrak g}\) and \(G(0)\) the centralizer of \(h\) in \(G\), which is known to be connected. Then (\(G(0)\), \(ad\), \({\mathfrak g}(i)\)) is a prehomogeneous vector space with finite orbits. The author constructs relative invariants in a unified way, and discusses some problems on prehomogeneous vector spaces of this type. For example: Find a \(\mathfrak g\)-module \(V\) and a positive integer \(i\) such that the restriction of the relative invariant of (\(G(0)\), \(ad\), \(\mathfrak g(i)\)) is an irreducible polynomial.
