Necessary and sufficient conditions for the equivalence of the summability methods \(| \overline{N}, p_n|_ k\) and \(| C,1|_k\) (Q1178977)

The concept of \(|\overline N,p_n|_k\) has been introduced in \textit{H. Bor} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 98, 81--84 (1986; Zbl 0601.40004)]. Bor derived simple sufficient conditions on the sequence \((p_n)\) for his summability method to be equivalent to the summability method \(| C,1|_k\) related to Cesàro summability and introduced in \textit{T. M. Flett} [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., III. Ser. 7, 113--141 (1957; Zbl 0109.04403)]. In the paper the author derives necessary conditions; i.a. he shows that Bor's sufficient conditions are actually necessary as well.
