Nonlinear elliptic problems are considered together with uniform a priori bounds and \(L_ 2\)- error estimates for Galerkin approximations. A priori optimal \(L_ 2\)-error estimates for continuous-time Galerkin approximations of hyperbolic and parabolic problems with nonlocal nonlinearity are derived. Finally, discrete-time Galerkin methods for the considered problems are introduced.
