Let \(d, j\) and \(k\) be integers such that \(d\geq 2\), \(0\leq j\leq d-1\), \(k\geq 0\) and let \(M\) be the set of all positive integers in which representation by decimals in the scale \(d\) the digit \(j\) occurs at most \(k\) times. The author proves that the series \(\sum_{n\in M}1/n\) converges and obtains some estimates for its sum.
