\textit{S. J. Eigen} [Probab. Theory Relat. Fields 72, 471-475 (1986; Zbl 0577.28013)] has shown that Dye's theorem on the path isomorphism of ergodic \(\mathbb{Z}\)-actions is valid only in the separable case. One invariant that can distinguish between full groups is entropy. The use of other invariants to construct nonisomorphic full groups has been proposed by A. M. Stepin and G. Bakhshaliev. In this note we propose a different approach to investigating the isomorphism of full groups; essentially the idea is to demonstrate that the full group is small in comparison with the number of classes of ergodic automorphisms and cannot mix all representatives.
