On fuzzy compactifications (Q1180259)

Several approaches to compactification theory in fuzzy topology are known (see e.g. papers by \textit{H. W. Martin} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 73, 453-456 (1980; Zbl 0442.54007), 133, No. 2, 404-410 (1988; Zbl 0681.54004)], \textit{U. Cerruti} [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 6, 197-204 (1981; Zbl 0482.54004)], \textit{Y.-M. Liu} and \textit{M.-K. Luo} [Interval and fuzzy mathematics, Proc. 2nd Pol. Symp., Poznań/Pol. 1986, 117-137 (1987; Zbl 0652.54004)]). In the present work a new approach to the compactification problem is developed: by means of the use of fuzzy closed filters the authors construct and study ``Wallman-type'' compactification for a fuzzy topological space, whose fuzzy topology satisfies certain normality-type and \(T_ 1\)-type conditions.
