A brief account of the content of the paper can be given along the lines of the author's summary: Let \(K\) be a local field with absolute Galois group \(G(K)\), let \(T\) be the maximal tamely ramified extension of \(K\), let \(F/K\) be the extension corresponding to the Frattini subgroup of \(G(K)\) and denote by \(J\) the compositum of all minimal Galois extensions of \(K\) containing \(T\). The main result of the paper is that \(F=J\). If \(K\) is a global field and \(K_{solv}\) is the maximal prosolvable extension of \(K\), then the Frattini group of \(G(K_{solv}/K)\) is trivial.
