The authors consider Schrödinger-type equations \(u_ t=iP(D)u\) with \(P(\xi)\) a real symbol with certain properties of order \(m\); as an example let \(P(\xi)=|\xi|^ m\), \(m>1\). They prove a decomposition for the solutions \(u\), of the type \(u=u_ 1+u_ 2\) with \(| D^ \alpha u_ 1(x,t)|\leq c_ \alpha\| u(.,0)\|_ 2\) for all \(\alpha\in\mathbb{N}^ n_ 0\) and \[ \int_{\mathbb{R}^{n+1}}(1+| x|^ 2)^{-1}|(Id-\Delta)^{(m-1)/4}u_ 2(x,t)|^ 2dx dt\leq c\| u(.,0)\|_ 2. \] If furthermore \(\int| u(x,0)|^ 2(1+| x|^ 2)^ sdx<\infty\), then \(\lim_{t\to 0}u(x,t)=u(x,0)\), a.e., if \(s>{1\over 2}\).
