The author solves the problem determining the box dimension of the graph of a continuous vector-valued function which interpolates a given set of data in higher dimension and behaves self-affine elsewhere. This dimension is obtained in some cases as the unique solution of some equation. His results generalize those of Barnsley, Harrington, Hardin and the author [\textit{M. F. Barnsley}, Constructive Approximation 2, 303- 329 (1986; Zbl 0606.41005); \textit{M. F. Barnsley} and \textit{A. N. Harrington}, J. Approximation Theory 57, No. 1, 14-34 (1989; Zbl 0693.41008) and \textit{D. P. Hardin} and the author, Commun. Math. Phys. 105, 455-460 (1986; Zbl 0605.28006)]. Finally, he notes that it is still an open question whether Hausdorff dimension and box dimension of such graphs are equal.
